Author Visit: In -person. Story Time Drama: For Preschool-1st Graders
In an interactive presentation geared for the very young that incorporates an age appropriate overview of an element of writing, I’ll read a book I’ve written, share a bit about my process, and I’ll incorporate drama/theatre activities for an enriching and inspiring experience. Author Visit-In Person or Virtual-Get to Know an Author-Grades Pre-K through 5th
I'll share with your students the process of my path to publishing. Students will learn how I come up with story ideas, a bit about me and my writing practice, and the steps I take to get the manuscript from my desk to a publisher and into the hands of readers. In this enriching fun approach, students will have a chance to ask questions as well as hear one book of mine read aloud. (please let me know which one you’d like me to share) one hour-$100
Author Visit-Virtual or In-person. Mindful Creative Writing, For 2nd-3rd Graders
This author visit is based on my Kirkus starred review book, “Mindful Like Grandma.” I’ll share the story, we will discuss an element of picture book writing, I’ll share the steps of mindfulness, and we will conclude with an exercise in mindfulness that they can apply in their everyday lives. $100
Author Visit-In-person. Treasure Seeking for Story. For 4th-5th graders
This author visit is based on my award-winning literary non-fiction series, "Good Trick, Walking Stick." I will share my books, a bit about how I wrote them, and elements of non-fiction. We’ll learn what it takes to be a treasure detector searching for story nuggets, and we will be inspired to seek for new story ideas to use in future writing projects. $100
